A global scientific movement is already underway, built on equitable access, open collaboration and shared discovery.
Your support puts modern genomic sequencing and the training to use it, directly into the hands of researchers who would otherwise be locked out.
What does this mean?
The next major breakthrough in biotechnology, food security or climate resilience may already exist in a local laboratory — in the hands of an early-career researcher who lacks only the tools to unlock it.
The journey starts with GetGenome and ends with the discovery, the innovation and the impact.

For around £85, we can deliver a full bacterial genome to a researcher who has already discovered it can clean up pollution, protect a crop from disease or produce bioplastics. For ~£1,000, we can sequence five pathogenic fungi for a researcher working to protect their country's staple crop — the first step toward diagnosing, and eventually stopping, a disease outbreak. For ~£10,000 can support a full cohort of researchers — a full Call for Projects — supporting a community to tackle major global challenges from food security to biodiversity loss.
